Simple backups

There is now a device that will allegedly backup your files, just by plugging it in. I'm not sure how far I'd trust it, but for those of you that don't do any backups, it's definitely better than nothing.

It may be harder to use with Vista and it will not work for Mac and Linux.

Remind why I got bloody vista again. grr

...for a Mac with the latest OS X there is a back-up tool built in (called Time Machine). All you need is an external hard drive and to turn the thing on.

Unless you are a total mug of course (whistles absent mindedly) and pay much more for the Apple Time Capsule, which is a wireless hard drive and router combined. Costs twice as much, but matches my iMac so nicely.....
