I recently purchased an ipod touch for my husband. There are scanty instructions enclosed - I'd say you need to be a PC wizard in order to own one of these, but I'm just not. Basically, the instructions asked for me to download itunes, which I did successfuly, with the ipod attached by USB cable to my PC. But nothing transferred over to the ipod! And there are no icons on itunes enabling me make that transfer. Can anybody help?

...what transfer did you want to make?

Have you put music or video into iTunes?

...if not, is there any music already on the computer in some form or another, do you know?

...re-reading your post I suspect that you have yet to set up the iPod correctly.

Disconnect the iPod, then reconnect it. You should see some screen prompts asking if you want to register for iTunes store etc etc

...it's up to you whether you want to do that now or defer it for your husband to do later if he likes.

If you look at the File drop down menu, it should ask you to Add to library. Click on this, and iTunes will look for music files on the computer...

If there are none, all you have to do is put CDs into the computer, and click on the button that asks if you would like to add it to the library. The CD title and track names will load automatically via the interweb.
