And hotmail too? Is it just coincidence or is there something different about these sites?

Does your pc gve you any suggestions?

Mine was doing it and apparetnly it was to do withthe flash player so I had to uninstal and reinstal.

Also, have you defragged your disc? Another mner gave me that top tip.

hotpotmama · 22/12/2008 20:20

Click on your windows opener thingy at the bottom left, type disc defragmenter in and it should pop up. It'll point you in the right direction.

do you like my technical language.

There was something else useful another person told me, but I can't remember - sorry!

moondog · 22/12/2008 20:32

Mine does this.
All the time.

moondog · 22/12/2008 20:33

It even did it just then.

hotpotmama · 22/12/2008 22:28

Glad its not just me then. Love my laptop when its working fine, hate it when its not. Am sad I know, loving my laptop

Your tech language is better than the IT helpdesks wherever I have worked. You've not told me the standard reply,to turn it off then turn it on again!

It does it with me too.

hotpotmama · 22/12/2008 22:33

Just checked it and looks like it defragments automatically every week as the box is ticked. So not sure what it is now?

flaming nora this defragmentation thing takes forever.

my laptop has been freezing loads too, but not since i started the defrag funnily enough so hopefully the wait will be worth it

It's a hint - STAY AWAY! go to RL more...

Mine does it a lot too with MN - especially whe I post, I often get the DNS error page the first time. Have defragged and disk-cleaned my laptop fully, still does it. Have to clean out your cookie files and temporary internet files too.

(personally I think it has something to do with the moving ads on the sidebar...)

hotpotmama · 22/12/2008 22:50

Why dont they make pc's that tell you that you may need to do these things to make it work better.

Think am turning into old granny when it comes to technical stuff, and I used to consider myself quite good at it all a few years ago, how things can change...I blame brain shrinkage from having kids.

thumbElf · 22/12/2008 23:04
