Internet explorer - which version do I have so I know which patch to download???

I dont think that microsoft have released the patch yet,remember reading somewhere that it wont be before the new year,could you download and use Firefox,I've never gone back since using Firefox.

I'm also a FireFox user, so no idea about a patch for IE. Would have thought that Windows Update would automatically get the update if one existed.

i did it the other day, will see if i can find it, was on the microsoft home page
