DH would like an iPod and I was thinking of getting him one for Xmas. I already have one and I've been told that we both can't use iTunes because it will only sync with one iPod.

Is this true?

I don't want to buy him one and then find out we can't both use them.

Thanks.

No - you can have multiple ipods synching to the same itunes - we have two ipods and an appleTV. Works fine.

You do need to use playlists, if you don't want to each just get all the music.

Thats great!

Thanks ever so much!

It will only sync one Ipod AT A TIME.

NotQuiteCockney · 09/12/2008 08:27

Oh, as in, you can't plug two Ipods in at the same time?

kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 08:29

I mean can you use 2 Ipods with the same itunes without having to have each others music.

I don't mean 2 plugged into the pc at the same time.

Yes.
Both can be used on Itunes.
Not at same time.
Your music list can be ticked/unticked before syncing each Ipod.
We have 3 in our house.

Right ok then. So we just need to set up our own playlists. Thats good as I couldn't resist and ordered him one today.
