Why does my beloved laptop keep freezing?

It is failing to respond at times, usually when I am on mumsnet - very annoying.

Does it have a virus do you think?

Probably a bit of a virus, but nothing too destructive. Or could be something to do with memory. If you're using Windows ...

  1. Go into C drive (hard drive), into Windows, and delete everything in cookies, and temp files. Or right click on Internet Explorer, go to properties, and then click on button to delete everything.
  1. Load up free AVG anti-virus software and run it (available on internet).

I'll give that a go.
I have the free AVG anyway, but I am pretty clueless about technology.

Mine does that too sometimes - usually works much better after I have defragged it - run the disk defragmenter
