Yes, but can only sync one at a time, which you would anyway.

When I was putting CDs on to our itunes, I put all the ones I don't like and don't want on my ipod on a playlist called (dp)'s music and then I could easily add it to his ipod. I have itunes set to manually manage music though rather than the automated setting where it "synchronises" the contents of your itunes and the ipod, because I don't want it to automatically add everything on the computer. Also, we have all our itunes stuff on a shared desktop pc but dp also uses a laptop and might want to add stuff that way.

You tick/un-tick the little box that is beside the track title for those you want/don't want.

there's more than one way to manage this, but the easiest thing to do is as elkiedee describes, and set up different playlists for each ipod on itunes. When you connect each one, you can tick what playlists you want on it.

We did it differently and set DH and I up as separate users on the computer. That meant that as well as getting our own settings, we could have an iTunes each, both with entirely different music.
If you have Windows, just click onto the control panel and add new user. Set it up as you want it then switch between accounts using the start/log in and out commands. When you start the computer up, it'll ask which account you want to go into too.
Sorry for the convoluted message - late night last night and early morning!

thanks that may actually be easier actually... then i can just sign in when i want to do something with my ipod

thankyou
