new ipod touch won't open applications, pleeease help me before my head explodes

Hi,

i have a shiny new ipod touch. I have downloaded a few free applications from the app store (games and google). They worked last night. Have gone to use them this morning but no joy.
If i click on the icon to open it the first window opens up but then it dissappears and i am back on the itouch home page.

I've tried deleting and reinstalling. Any other ideas would be fab.

Hi! Just wondering if you ever fixed this problem as mine's suddenly started doing the same thing and is driving me mad!!

Someone told me you shouldn't use a new application until you've restarted your iPhone - no idea if this is actually true or if so whether it's true of the iPod Touch as well.

When you say you reinstalled it, do you mean you just deleted it from the iPod & then resynced with your PC. If so, try redownloading it from the App Store (it'll say you've already got it, but it'll let you do it again & won't charge you if it was a paid for app.)

If you downloaded it directly to the iPod, it might be worth trying downloading to the PC first - it sometimes seems more stable that way.

If that doesn't work try a reset - this worked with my iPhone when it froze, so worth trying - hold down the home button & the sleep button together for 10 seconds or until it shuts off, then turn it on again until the apple logo appears & the iPod restarts.
