Scanning hard copy photographs

I've got a printer / scanner (EPSON STYLUS DX5000).

I'd like to be able to scan my old photos and put them on my computer in PDFs.

I can't figure out how to do it. I've not got instructions typically.

Can anyone help? Dull problem, I know.

I've got a stylus rx500 - so newer, maybe, & not the same, but anyway it has a small display & when I put a pic or something in, I use the select arrows to change the display from "1. to photo card" to "2. to PC", press OK & then the software window opens on screen & I take it from there.

(HTH . If not, have you looked on the Epson website?)

Oh no, I think yours is newer than mine! Hang on a sec...

will this help?

I just put in your model & windows Vista (what I have) & "manuals & documentation" is one of the options

Ponders, thank you so much for your help.

I think, as far as I can gather, my model will only let me print rather than scan and send to my 'puter. Never mind.

Look at "copying" - is the same thing I think!

Ponders · 23/11/2008 22:10

(Yours is a lot more complicated than mine though)

Oh - praps it isn't. (Am talking to myself here, sorry!)

At the bottom of the page which has the various instruction downloads is an Online Guide - if you click on that it has scanning instructions - although for the DX5000, not the 6000, but I put 6000 in in the first place so presumably it's the same. Anyway yours is ina all-in-oine, ie it has a scanner, so it must be able to do it! (Tell it I said so!)

I've got an Epsom 4050, so not a million miles from you machine.
