Have to type fast before it goes again

We are on Virgin broadband conection. For the past week it has been disconecting 5 minutes after turning on the pc, today it just keeps disconecting every 10 minutes and will not re-conect unless i switch of the pc (shut down) and start again.

Any ideas what is wrong, will it be a problem with Virgin or with my PC?

We've had virgin broadband (cable) for a year and have never had a problem with it.. I'd give them a ring if I was you.. is your cable?

we have this also but have been assured by the BT tech team that all is o.k with the broatband
They suggested our problem is a slow running computer that seems to boot us off .
It was weird because the tech was able to share my screen and run checks on it whilst talking to me on the phone.
I really do need to get a new pc- hope yours is an easy problem to fix

Had an ongoing problem with my BT broadband where the connection kept going for a period of months before if was resolved. They even sent an engineer in who said it looked like a problem at the exchange. It turned out to be the router, which a friend suggested I look at. Could you borrow a router to try out before ruling this out as it could you time in the long run.
