any i tunes experts please?

I have just transferred all my music from my old hardrive from broken laptop to new laptop. It is there in itunes library if i go via my documents etc, if i click on a file it plays via itunes but it doesnt transfer to the downloaded itunes music section (if that makes sense). I have tried to import a file but it only shows the free ones you get when you download itunes. Any ideas? thanks

i've done that, it all looks fine but wont let me import anything, only play via my documents. when i click on a song it switches to itunes and plays but doesnt important so i cant see whats in library, create playlists etc?

is your ipod plugged in?

Am no expert but think you have to authorise the new computer against your itunes account. Go to itunes store and my account and i think it says authorize this computer. you need your username and password

have authorised it and now says enabled. dragged all music across and seemed to be going over but is all as before ie i can play via my documents but not direct from itunes library
