Tried to log in to DH's hotmail and didn't recognise password
Now DH has received a couple of phone messages from friends to say they've received emails from him saying that he had been kidnapped in Nigeria and they should send money for his release

Obviously someone has hacked in, but what can we do about it? I don't even know how to alert people who operate hotmail.
PLEASE HELP!!!

I would set yourself up with another email account pronto - then email all your friends with your new address.

make sure that your new pass word contains numbers, letters numbers and then another letter - make it as easy for you to remember and difficult to hack into.

Then email hotmail and let them know that you think they have a problem.

This happened to me, I had emails from friends asking me about my new business which they had been spammed with. They also then managed somehow to get into my Ebay account but Ebay were on the ball and realised this before I did, they cancelled the auctions and sorted it out.

DH managed to change my email password somehow, can't remember how though. I don't tend to use that account now.
