Question about I-Pods

Hiya,

Thinking of buying an I-Pod, and the Nano in particular!

Got a couple of questions regarding it though!

On a normal MP3 player, you can download songs directly from computer onto MP3 player, is this the same with the I-Pod (or do you need to buy everything from I-tunes?)

Also, just how could are they? Phillips for example also do their own equivilent but for a lot less money, are they just as good?

Thanks

(It's a lot of money to be spending, so want to make sure we buy the right one!)

you dont need to buy everything from itunes

i love my ipod, have had a few other mp3 players, were much more fiddly than ipod

i have the nano, it;s great but i have nothing to compare it to.
i upload my own cd's on to it mostly, so you don't have to buy from itunes. i expect you can download from elsewhere too and just use itunes to organise your music and sync to the ipod.

Thanks for that... lets hope Father Christmas brings me the Nano then

I have the shuffle, dd has the nano.

You can put your own cds onto itunes, and music you have already downloaded as well as downloading stuff from itunes.

I have to say probably my best purchase ever, have fun
