AOL messenger makes that noise when one of your contacts signs in or out

Tinker · 25/10/2008 23:51

Agree, it's aol buddy list. Does it also say "You've got company" That is very spooky when you've forgotten that it is still on.

Skramble · 25/10/2008 23:52

I had that with a mesenger thing it automaticly logged on and I didn't realise, someone on my email list had whatever email account you need to link up and everytime they logged on it made that noise.

poshbloodencrustedwellies · 25/10/2008 23:55

Could be the fan unit, easy to replace. Not expensive part.If one of your friends or their children is a comp geek they would be able to do it easily.
