what is BOT ? is it malicious? I often get a window telling me Bot will have to close.....

it looks like a microsoft geniuine window - and asks me if I want to send the error report to Microsoft etc...

Is it Sky Bot? If yes, then its a firewall thing.....does that help?

I've got skybot installed but have never seen it "needing to close".
IE on the other hand, at the mo' is closing every 5 mins and driving me loopy!

Bots are not usually good news I'm afraid, not necessarily malicious though.

google the exact name of the file that is closing. there are databases on the internet that identify legitimate files.
