Oh heck! I can't get into my E mail account! What am I doing wrong?

Have tried everyone else's, and theirs are working, as soon as I put my E Mail address in and password it just takes me back to Virgins home page.

What have I done wrong?

What can I do if anything to sort it?

Could you have misremembered the password. Sometimes there a "lost password" link which will tell you what it is.

If are really stuck you can probably phone them for help.

As far as I know the password is correct. Its the same one for all 5 of our E Mail accounts. I guess I will have to wait for DH to come home from Germany on Thursday! Its a pain really as I know a couple of people have E Mailed me!

Computers etc are great when they work, but when they don't GGGRRRRR!!!!

Mine is exactly the same tonight, and i am with virgin too. I am hoping it is a problem with them and not me!! Please post if you get yours sorted!

I was just about to post a 'help' message and looked at this thread - my email account is with Virgin too and it's not working. Keeps saying it doesn't recognise the password.

Can't get onto the 'contact us' page either to find a phone number to call for help.

I'm on the old dial-up version, been a virgin for years () and they keep threatening to disconnect me if I don't dial in cos now it's via someone else's broadband link and they don't make any money out of me. I was beginning to fear they had finally disconnected me, but maybe it's not just that if you're all having problems too?

I can't even access it via my mail2web account which I usually use when travelling to get to my emails, but internet and Skype are working fine so I think the problem is with Virgin not me or my pc.

Anyone any clues?

I had exactly the same problems as you cq but tonight when i came on here it has all sorted itself out! Hope yours is ok now?
I couldn't access through virgin either, so annoying. I wonder if they were doing work on their site or something? Could have bloomin warned us!

Mine is still not working! DH is now home and he has said its definatly Virgins problem!

Also bumped into a friend today, and she too is having problems.

Can't believe I have actually been having problems since Tuesday! i would have thought Virgin were a bit more problem free! Technology! BAH!!

Just tried mine again, still nothing working either in Outlook Express or on mail2web. If it ever comes back I'm going to forward all my emails to my Yahoo account from now on.

Feel like I've lost a limb.

I did a mailshot last week to 60 companies looking for prizes for a charity ball I'm helping with, and efficiently put my sodding email address on it for replies. And I've a meeting tomorrow with all the other worthy ladies who will have efficiently coordinated the ticket sales, caterers, table decorations etc. How can I tell them I don't know if there's any raffle prizes cos my chuffing email's up the chuffing swanee.

Know what you mean about losing a limb! After everything is sorted when I get home from work, I get a cup of tea and log in to catch up with E Mails etc! I feel lost!

That happened to me all day yesterday back on for this morning off again this afternoon back on now!

Several people have told me they've had messages bounced back though, so god knows how many I've missed.

I'm taking no more chances - I'm going to forward my virgin.net address to my Yahoo mail and check it through there from now on.

Anyone know how to get Outlook Express to check Yahoo?

Wonder what it was all about then? You would think virgin would let people know there might be a problem.............might send them an email and see what they have got to say for themselves!!

Mine's off again too. And I never got round to forwarding my account to Yahoo. That's it. When it ever comes back on again, Virgin are toast. GRRRR.

But the good news is that the nice lady from American Airlines rang me and offered me 2 return flights to Miami for our charity auction! So who needs blardy computers anyway?

Touch wood, I have had access all day to my E Mail account!

DH has just told me that "Virgin" was having problems because of a SPAM ATTACK! Well why the heck did they not tell us!

Especially through E Mail!!!!!! (joke)
