Cannot Sync iPod Shuffle- Please Help

I have installed the latest version of iTunes on the PC and clicked that I would like to erase current songs on my Shuffle, and link the it to this PC.

I have added the songs I want in my library, yet when I click to sync the Shuffle, I keep getting a message saying 'Cannot sync. Cannt find required disk'.

I have tried restoring the Shuffle, yet it shows that its trying to restore for at least 20 minutes, without anything else being displayed on screen.

Is there anything I should be doing?

have you checked that all your songs on libary have uploaded properley??

I had this trouble with mine

bizarrely it would resync on dh's laptop and not my identical one

then it was fine
