If I remove someone from my friends list, will it be glaringly obvious to them? Like will it come up in the news feed thing lmccrean has removed you from their friends list

No, it never shows to anyone. You just disappear from their list..

But if you remove that someone from Facebook, won't they eventually be aware as you won't come up on their friends profile anymore?

Woollymummy · 12/09/2008 22:36

you sound like you at least are being discreet - I removed someone and also sent them a snotty message to explain why, it was a valid reason, as they were just an old school accquaintance who then started forwarding me obscene videos that they thoght were funny! The really irritating thing was the peeved tone they took with me for removing them.....don't worry about removing the person, if they need to be removed, you shouldn't feel bad about having to do it. They should get the message clearly.

I was added by someone, and then they removed me a few months later. I didn't notice straight away, but eventually I did. There was no reason for it that I was aware of - I hadn't been bombarding them with stuff or sending rude messages.

It was surprisingly hurtful!

I uploaded an application "who deleted you" and I found out one of my work colleagues had deleted me. I don't want to ask her why she deleted. imo it's better to bury your head in the sand and not know. it's like school all over again....

No lies. Let me see if I can find the application page.

Yes, it's called "who deleted you" - actually don't upload it. You'll just open a can of worms....

My maternity leave cover person deleted me when she changed jobs. She still has everyone else from the office as friends though. I guess she only met me for a little while but we've exchanged messages and I've seen her a few times when visiting the office. As BIWI said, it is actually very hurtful even though she's no great loss IYSWIM.

It can be a bit buggy and keep throwing up error messages. I can often only access it from work, not home for some reason. The 'Try Again' button often works...
