Firefox keeps opening multiple browser pages by itself

Help! I cant get into anything as it keeps defaulting to more firefox pages. What can I do? I did a system scan of spyware and viruses yesterday but is no better. Please help as I work from home and need my pc

Is something resting on your keyboard or is a key stuck down?

I don't know what you used for the scan but Spybot finds things some standard virus checkers will ignore.

Also you can start Firefox in safe mode which is for troubleshooting. It disables extensions and uses the default theme and toolbar settings
You should see a Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)" shortcut in the start menu.
