DF's Outlook email for some reason is not receiving emails with photos any ideas why not?

I sent my DF some photos of DS' birthday party last week, have sent them on numerous occasions but the email just doesn't get to him. "Normal" emails seem to get there, and even ones with just one or two photos, but not this one, or in fact any emails with more than 1 or 2 photo attached.
DF reckons its a setting that DM has changed by accident.

Anyone any ideas?

What email service are you using, and how big are the pics? It might be that the size of the attachments exceeds your ISP's maximum limit.

I use orange broadband, df uses tiscali, but my dm (who I also sent the photos to) got them on her laptop, wirelessly, using the same connection as DF.

there were 6 photos totalling 10676kb.

how odd. is your dm on a tiscali email address as well?

that's a pretty big email for most providers, it's often better to send photos one or two at a time.

still doesn't explain why your dm got them and df didn't, though.

no, she is yahoo.is weird, cos sil also sent some photos last week, to all the family, they all got thm but DF didn't, once again.
It's bound to be a setting that has been changed, don't you think?

Sounds like tiscali have a smaller limit on email size than yahoo - I wouldn't attempt to send such a large attachment to someone on a home account, TBH.

This says Tiscali users can only send 10 meg, would be logical they can only receive it as well.

Yes, Yahoo has a much bigger size limit, iirc.

no, 1Mb is 1000 bytes.

oops just done a conversion, so it is 10MB, will have a look at tiscali user limits, tahnks again.

Technically I think 1 mb = 1024 kb (or is it 1048, I really can't be arsed to look it up) but roughly what you sent was a whopping 10 meg, your mum must have a really good wireless connection to have downloaded that without it taking a while?
