If a key comes off your laptop keyboard can it be fixed back on?

we had this with 2 laptops in our house in the past month. We couldn't get them back on but ours were both under their warranty period and dell sent us new keyboards.

I just pushed mine back on until it clciked - its been fine since.

DD (2) has taken the keys off our laptop more times that I'd care to remember when we've been silly enough to leave it with the lid up. For those keys that have lost or have broken clips we've resorted to sticking them on with those double-sided sticky foam things. Not ideal but it works quite well and cheaper than a new computer.
