Help - memory card/digital camera!

I've bought a memory card for my digital camera so I can take hundeds of photos at DD's pre-school graduation in an hour but I don't know how to get the camera to recognise it - I've put it in the right place the right way up but it's still telling me I onlt have 30 pix (the amount on the cameras hard drive). Help!!

have you got the manual ? It should be in there somewhere. Otherwise - try wading through al lthe menu options until you find the right one.

Or google the make/model and memory card and see if you can find some instructions.

Some cameras won't recognise memory cards above a certain size.
Check that your camera will take on of the size you have stuck in it.

Second option is that you need to go into the options menu and choose the option to format a new card. That might be what is needed.
