All of a sudden I'm unable to log on to anything.
except mumsnet and my email account which I am permanantly logged on to
eg. as soon as I try to log into internet banking I get the error screen 9standard IE one) same for facebook and ebay.
i had to go to an internet cafe yesterday to book some flights as soon as I tried to submit m,y card details error again

I have chec ked my settings, but I must be missing something...
Please help, I need to get stuff done!

Are you getting a specific error code?

Have you already tried the usual:
Reboot Computer
If using a router, reboot the router
Virus Scan and Spyware scan

Check for new software having been installed... have you noticed anything new recently?

If you install another browser - such as FireFox - do you get the same issues?

Could be a DNS issue.

If using Windows XP, try:

Start, Run
type: CMD
type: ipconfig /flushdns
type: exit

If using broadband, could be worth unplugging your broadband connection (from the phone line) waiting 20 mins, then plugging back in. That with luck that will renew your connection.
