have you got a laptop with a little set of buttons up near the screen? if so one of these has a symbol on it - i think it looks like an angel - click on that. otherwise no idea!

are you sure it has a wireless card ?

I think normally they will latch onto any wireless service that is available

In windows (xp at least) - there is a little green screen with lines coming from it symbol the task bar at the bottom (or wherever yours is) - if it is red then it has no connection - you can click on it to try and repair the connection.

Otherwise go into start, control panel, network connections (probably) and see what you can find for wireless.

It usually works, but it's saying no wireless connection, the laptop is next to the home pc. I don't know why it's not connecting.

right click on that symbol thing I was talking about - it should give you the option to "repair"

It's working, thanks.
