New Ipod touch... and I can't get damn thing to work ... please help

You need to turn it on, then choose some music and the volume button is actually on the touch screen once you have chosen a song.

but nothing, have the bar at the bottoom up full but silence

now next question.. I have itunes installed on laptop.

how do I get a podcast I have downloaded to itunes store to ipod??

When I got my itouch there were no demos to listen to {hmm}

I would try and put a song on it first.

if the podcast is on iTunes, and the box next to it is ticked, you just connect iPod to computer, and it'll sync, then podcast will be there

daft question.. but you do have headphones connected.. the ipod has no speaker
