Help with digital photo frame

I've been asked to put some images on a USB memory stick for a friend's parent's birthday.

She is very non-technical and that's all the info I can get before the present is delivered. Can I ask all of you with digital photo frames:

  1. Is it likely to be a standard or small type of USB connector, and
  1. I have a lot of images. Is there a limit on how many I can put on, and will the frame 'see' them if I put them within a folder on the memory stick?

Thank you in advance...

Would have thought a memory card would be better than a USB stick.

Thank you. Unfortunately I can't now find out what kind of card it takes. She wants a memory stick because that's what she has been told it takes.

Googling implies that they are a standard size, but info about whether I can put the jpegs within a folder would be great.

Is there no way to find out what frame it is?

If she knows she is definitely getting a frame can she not ask the person who is buying it?

It's more complicated than that. The memory stick with pics is a present for her parents. They have the frame already.

She is not available now to ask - I just have to do best guess.

The one we bought for MIL sees inside folders - it was a Tesco's own brand. I don't remembef if it had a USB port, but others I've seen have a standard size one.

Thank you. It would make sense for it to see inside them as there is a limit to how many you can put on the usb stick without using a folder. Just want it to work straight away if it's a present.
