I have to do a presentation on Monday and I needed to download a video clip from a website onto my laptop. I bought some software - Replay Media Capture - and it worked perfectly - recorded the clip and (very pleased with myself!) managed to get it onto my laptop. Excitedly played it back (I will have an audience of about 10 so sitting around my largeish laptop to watch the clip will be fine). To my horror, the sound is really quiet from the PC. I turned up all volume buttons to full blast and to no avail - I could hear it if I sat by the laptop but it's just not loud enough for the group. What can I do?? Do I have to get speakers to attach to the laptop (is that possible??)... or am I missing something?? Help - getting very panicked now!!
Thank you.

Forgot to say that I re-recorded the video clip with the volume on full on my desktop but still too quiet when I downloaded it to laptop.

You should be able to plug speakers in.

I can't say if that is the right answer, but it should be possible.

How are you playing it back?

Windows media player I think? Does that make sense?

I just asked someone since I don't have a laptop. They did a presentation and they had to plug speakers in too.

Is the laptop quieter than usual though? If so I'd look at the sound/audio software in control panel or in the system tray in case there are any other settings you can change.

Thanks - I think I've changed all the volume settings so I do think i'm going to have to use speakers... just hope I can get some (relatively cheaply) over the weekend!

You usually have to have fairly powerful speakers attached to your laptop if anyone except you is listening.

I don't think you have done anything wrong in the downloading.
