put the old phones sim card in the new phone

Elmosgirl · 01/07/2008 17:48

The sim number should be written on the side of the box.

FAQ · 01/07/2008 17:49

no I've got a new SIM card, and have got my PAC number from my old provider.......filling in the form online to get it transferred to my new phone but it needs the SIM number (on the form) for my new SIM card.....

Id sell the phone and use the sim in me old phone;) Lot less hassle.

FAQ · 01/07/2008 17:57

noooooooooo! My old phone is CRAP CRAP CRAP - actually I really like my new phone - it's just all this setting up and keeping my old number is a fair bit of hassle.

I've just gone from PAYG to contract (and will consequently save myself about £50 a month as I'd been spending that much on top-ups ) but am feeling mildly technophobic and blonde right now LOL.

I upgrded from PAYG to contract and saved a fortune
Hmm, still dunno where your SIM number is though! Is it the numbers on the sim card?

FAQ · 01/07/2008 18:05

well I just found a whole string of numbers and a few random letters thrown in on the back of it - so I've put those on the form......I guess if my new phone rings in a few days time then it's right LOL

lol

FAQ · 02/07/2008 09:06

arghhh well it appears that the SIM number I gave them was correct.......but the number that Vodafone gave me when I rang up and requested my PAC was wrong GRRRR

OP posts:
charliecat · 02/07/2008 11:14

lol, you would think THEY would know what they were doing!

FAQ · 02/07/2008 11:16

well I've given up - tried to call them again (Vodafone) and they gave me the same (wrong) number again - so I've just transferred all my contacts onto my new phone and texted everyone with my new number.....

Now I just have to remember to tell the schools I've changed numbers LOL
