Moving Google bookmarks to my new account - do I really have to do it one by one?

When I started with googlemail it was because Hotmail was rejecting the MN talk emails, so I used a name that related to my talk name.

Now I've created a new google email address with my RL name, but when I'm logged in with the new address I can't see all the bookmarks I've created.

I can't associate another Google mail address with my original account & though I can export my Google bookmarks from one account, I can't re-import them - there's only an option to import IE favourites.

I've tried Google's FAQ & various other places, but all I've found is a suggestion that I have to recreate them one by one.

Does anyone know different?

TIA

Could try exporting bookmarks (so you have file bookmarks.html)

Then change user account, so that Google Toolbar is registered with the new user account details.

Then try using this - scroll to bottom for Step 1.
Try clicking Browser, then pasting in the contents of bookmarks.html

Thanks NannyNick - that worked (at least for most of them, I had to do a few individually) though I had to switch to Firefox to make it work.(I haven't been using Firefox because it doesn't like my igoogle page)
I did have to switch to viewing the source for the bookmarks list before I C&P it into the link.

Thanks very much!

Good to hear that it worked for some of the bookmarks.
Google really should come up with a better Import/Export system - you would have thought that by being able to Export the bookmarks, the same software would import it again.
