No - & you can't get the data/music off even if you phone one of those emergency data recovery places

I know a lot of video/dvd shops can repair scratches on dvds so it mite be worth asking them? Depends how bad the crack is I guess.

nappyaddict · 23/06/2008 11:03

it's all the way from the centre out to the edge on one side. unfixable i think.

is it an actual crack all the way though? If so, then no.

If it's just a scratch, GAME fix it for you.

how much does it cost to the scratches fixed-we have loads of dvds that are scratched and would love to get them fixed instead of rebuying them?

does anyone know if that jml cd thing works?

OverMyDeadBody · 23/06/2008 11:39

I think GAME change a few quid, maybe a fiver tops, and they do it while you wait. My brother is always using them for his scratched dvds and games.

this is gonna sound crazy but....toothpaste is good for scratches on discs! One of my dvdroms was scratched and skipped when I played the game, I rubbed a tiny amount of toothpaste into the scratch and buffed it with a tissue. Amazingly it worked

Scootergrrrl · 25/06/2008 19:38

What is it? Something vital?

nappyaddict · 25/06/2008 20:28

no just a music cd but it was my first mothers day present off ds so has sentimental value. i have used toothpaste for scratches too but this is a bit more than a scratch.
