I'm pretty sure that's a hardware fault. If it's under warrenty you should have them check it. I think it's a common one for macs

We had a Toshiba laptop at work that got a blue line down the screen, which went away when you squeezed the edge of the screen - I put a bulldog clip on it until we could spare the laptop to go away for repair.

My powerbook developed blue lines, it had to have a new logic board. Fortunately it was under warranty!
