Honor Magic V5 phone...smart watch?

despite me checking before buying, my Huawei smart watch does not sync with this phone.

Does anyone have this phone and know of a smart watch that is compatible?

I'm amazed to read this as Honor is actually a Huawei phone (I have one).

I know right?

Apparently it syncs with a watch one version up from mine...and mine is only a year old

The phone pairs with my watch for phone calls but does not recognise the qr code to pair with the honor health app...in all other respects the phone OS is almost identical

I managed to download the Huawei health app, found it on some random Huawei gallery
