I've been trying (and failing) to do my tax return online and have been told I need to install Safari2.0.4. (currently using 1.3.2)

All I can find on the .Mac site is Safari 3.

Where would I find it?
Is it possible, as I'm on OS X10.3.9?
Should I just give up and print off a paper copy?

Thankyou, anyone who reads this/ understands/ can help.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Does it not mean that's the minimum, so v3 would be OK?

(not at all techie so could be totally wrong)

Iota · 03/06/2008 18:27

I use Firefox on my mac

Jas · 03/06/2008 18:31

V3 would work if I could put it on, but my computer doesn't have the minimum OS X performance bit (also obviously not at all techy and have no real clue what I'm talking about)

I'm off to look and see if I already have Firefox....

Thanks for replying

I believe that Firefox is free to download if you don't have it already

Jas · 03/06/2008 19:51

Yay!

Thanks iota. I've downloaded Firefox and it is working on there.

use firefox

I just abandoned my Safari tax return after about five minutes

fewer and fewer websites are supporting Safari ime

Cappuccino · 04/06/2008 14:13

oh sorry you have done that

Jas · 04/06/2008 14:26

Thanks for noticing me though

Why couldn't the IR helpline have told me that some time in the past 6 weeks during one of my many calls to their helpline, I wonder??

cos they are useless

I rang them this morning and it took me 10 minutes to get the woman to understand that I wasn't doing it on paper so I didn't have the blardy page number I was asking about

LL really, is it that easy? We have an old anglepoise-style mac, running some creaky old version of OSX which won't talk to the airport router. Do you think we could bring it back from the dead? God, the kids would be so happy if we could. Off to talk to jigsaw systems now.
