MAC USERS help me out pls... how do i

(and this may be the first of many such questions)

how do i make it safe to take my memory card reader out of the usb port? on pcs i click on the little icon and click 'make safe to remove hardware' or somesuch. but theres no icon so im lost. pls help

it's gone from the dock at the bottom of the screen

it's been ejected

ignore any lights and unplug the wretched thing

and to get the Firefox icon to stay in the dock, click-and-hold it when it's in the dock and choose 'Keep in Dock'

BTW, the red button closes the window/file, the yellow one minmizes the file and stores it on the dock for you, and the green one makes the window bigger or smaller.HTH
