Geeks! Urgent help needed with beer/laptop disaster

Baby, soon to be up for adoption, knocked beer all over it. I am horrified. Laptop is still on. Is there anything I could or should do?

Bugger! Turn it upside down to drain beer out of keyboard. Unscrew keyboard leave to dry somewhere warm NOT a radiator or airing cupboard. It needs to dry slowly.

Erm what has happened to laptop?? Did you unscrew keyboard?? Is laptop drowning/ dead??

Not very techie but if needs be if laptop is ok but keyboard isn't, you can buy a cheap wired keyboard and plug it into a laptop somehow,
