HELP!! My outlook won't open - any IT experts out there?

Several people recommended that I try an application called xobni (the reverse of inbox) which helps you search your inbox. So i did. It said to restart your PC. Which I did.

Since then, it won't let me open MS Outlook (I've got MS Office 2003) running on Windows XP.

I have since removed the xobni programme assuming that was the problem, but it still won't open.

It comes up with a message that says: Small Business Manager has had a problem and needs to shut down. It then says: Do I want to start outlook in safe mode?

If I say yes, it tries to reopen and comes up with the same message about SMall business manager. It then says: Outlook failed to launch in safe mode. Would I like to launch detect and repair? It then says: please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office SMall business edition 2003.

It then (after ages) comes up with a message that says: Error 1311. Source file not found. Then it has a long file name and says: Verify that file exists and that you can access it. Retry?

If I retry, it still doesn't work. What the hell do I do?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Googling for "Error 1311. Source file not found" suggests that it's trying to install something from a ".cab" (cabinet) file. The Windows experts would know better than me why it might want to do that.

The file might be on your installation media (i.e. Office installation CDs), if you have those?

Thanks evelynsdad. Have resolved the problem by doing a system restore. Phew.
