..cos the file is damaged or incorrectly decoded. Does my friend need to send the email again or am I stuck with this not working even of she does? Or is there a way round it?

adobe reader cannot open this doc either because it is not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged e.g. it was sent as an email attachment and has not been correctly decoded.

I have windows Vista so I'd be surprised if it doesn't support the file.

can you save it onto your pc and then open the progam and open the file then? rather than double clicking?

Slouchy · 19/05/2008 14:31

Tried that, popmum.Same message.

Slouchy · 19/05/2008 16:58

Thanks, sheik but still no go.

OP posts:
fiodyl · 19/05/2008 17:13

I started getting this same problem when I upgraded to Vista. The version of works that came with it won't read .doc Word files. It tries to open them with Adobe Acrobat instead but can't.Sometimes I could manually get it to open with Works but I have now downloaded Word Viewer(free) to open any .doc files with

Slouchy · 19/05/2008 17:13
