Anyone know why I can't get a video conference to work?

Ok, this is probably a long shot but if anyone can help I'd be extremely grateful!

I am trying to use iChat on my mac to talk to my folks using AIM on their PC. We both have AIM accounts but we just keep getting error messages every time we try to connect. We used to be able to do it if they used a program called Trillian but now even that doesn't seem to work. We thought it was a problem with the firewall but turning it off doesn't seem to help. I've found a web based video site called meebo that works but the video windows are tiny. Does anyone have any suggestions?

hi, you would have to have authorised access to you workplace network as a remote login agent as most companies have fierce firewalls to block intruders and viruses. ask your boss or it manager for a hand in alowing your ip address into the nwtwork

thanks for the feedback but this is from home. Someone suggested we try Skype so we're going to have a go with that.
