I need to buy a new PC. I am not a geek at all and don't know where to start. Can anyone recommend something?

I want to be able to use it for:
Internet (mumsnetting of course)
Managing my Ipod
Managing photos
Office stuff - at the moment just home/finance admin, but in 3 months it might become dh's pc to get into work via a secure connection

I'm not interested in games (except cbeebies etc for kids), watching videos/tv, although I would like reasonable speakers so I can listen to radio online whilst surfing.
It needs to look good - slick, stylish, small (box, not monitor). I would like a wireless keyboard, mouse and internet connection because I have an aversion to trailing wires. Price not that important.

buy a MAC.

stylish, smart, last for ages, don;t crash , good for music and pictures... iTunes and iPhoto...can use excel and word etc too.

i have one in the kitchen, a mac mini, it is 15 x 15 x 4 so takes up little space on teh work surface and i have a flat monitor on the wall

Can you use excel and word too? That's oen of teh only reason I haven't gone for a mac - I'm too used to bog standard office packages. What about outlook - fairly essential for dh's work?
