Geeky stuff

My 7 yr old son has sent a Messenger invitation to EVERY SINGLE contact on EVERY email account on my PC. Please help.

At 7.00am this morning, my son managed to grab every email address - friends, business, teachers, school, Amazon, Mumsnet, local politicians - you name it, and he's sent them an invite to chat with our 4 year old daughter, who can barely even read yet.

Is there ANY way to retract them? I've hunted high and low around Yahoo Messenger options and I can't find any option to retract the sodding things.

I need a miracle. Has any one got one?

I think the only thing you could do would be email everyone and say sorry it was a virus!

LOL!

hoxtonchick · 07/05/2008 10:44

you could claim it was hijacked.... well, it was in a way .

fryalot · 07/05/2008 10:45

you could email everyone and explain what he did.

they will have an blardy good laugh at you indulgent smile but will deffo forgive you and ignore it.

VinegarTits · 07/05/2008 10:48

pmsl just ignore it, if you get any comebacks from it claim you know nothing and ask if they are mad

hifi · 07/05/2008 10:48

is he very clever or was it a mistake?

Doodle2U · 07/05/2008 10:55

MMJ - you're definitely on the list?!

He is PC savvy but the thing is, Yahoo ASKS you to check a specific box if you want to add ALL contacts and it shows you were you are adding them from. So WHY he chose to check the box, I just don't know?

The thing is, we (me & DH) discussed emailing everyone to apologise but that would just draw attention to the fact that we gave a 7 year old, access to their email address. It's gone to the Financial Directors of all the major banks and financial institutions.

We'll be on the 6 o'clock news, won't we [horror][kill me now]
