I'm looking to buy my first gaming laptop. I don't have a huge budget at all - between £650 and £700 is really all I can justify spending. I've grown up playing the sims album the last couple of updates to just the base game mean I can no longer run it on my basic desktop - even when I could it was always on the most basic graphic settings and took flipping ages to load every time! Ive also enjoyed playing hogwarts legacy on my daughters switch but would also like to be able to play this on the laptop when I get it.

The problem is I have no idea at all what I need. I know I want to be able to play these two games plus the expansion packs for the sims 4 and be able to have enough space to download some custom content too. Screen size would preferably be 15.6 as I hate a small screen. I have found the two attached specs but am confused as I have also read that hogwarts needs 16gb ram to run but the sims 4 only needs 8. One of these laptops only has 8gb ram so does that mean it just wouldn't load the hogwarts game?

I'd be grateful for any advice as to which is best or any other suggestions for any other laptops that might fit the bill within my budget if possible.

Thank you for any help!!

The higher the ram the better the machine eg 4gb okish for office applications, 8GB better , and at eg 16+ GB is getting much better

The £682 one seems better

usually but not always the higher the ram also means the better the graphics card, same with hard drivers eg 100 gb, omg, 500Gb ok 1TB terabytes + good amount for apps, games etc

Hogwarts legacy is a really, really demanding game, I suspect that rtx 2050 graphics will struggle at times.

For around £700 (costco, laptopstation) theres a lenovo loq with an rtx4060, 24gb ram thats about 80% faster than the rtx2050 you linked to.
