What printer do you use - and what do you think of it?

We are thinking of getting a mono laser printer to use at home - whilst not the workload of a commercial office, it would get a reasonable amount of use. I am looking for opinions!

I got a Samsung ML 1210 when I started my home business 7 years ago and it's still going strong, never had a single problem with it. It was about £150 new, out of manufacture now, but I know there's a new version available - 1510 perhaps? Catridges about £50 each but they are refillable which saves a few quid.

Thankyou W&P The Samsung is one I have been looking at. Good to know that it is reliable. How many pages does a cartridge do?
Anyone else? Anyone got a Brother Laser printer?

Erm, loads?

Not sure but think it's round the 1000 pages mark.

I have an HP LaserJet 2100. £5 from Ebay plus i had to buy a new toner cartridge.

The old LaserJets are definitely solid and reliable. Not sure about the newer ones.

We have the colour laser HP Color LaserJet 2605dn and it is FAB. We use our printer a lot for dh's work so it's regularly used and is extremely reliable and fairly cheap to run (esp compared to our old ink jet).

The only downside is, like most laser printers, you won't be able to do more arty stuff like cards, t-shirt transfers etc as the ink will slip off that type of paper. Always look for paper that is also suitable for laser printers when buying.
