help - DH's ipod just won't turn on, he is inconsolable, any ideas??

it is fully charged and has not had any accidents! It was playing away happily in docking station and then we noticed it had turned off and now it is refusing to turn on. DH is behaving like a teenage boy about it, its a sad sight but i would like to help. Any ideas?? thanks!

Have you tried to reset it? I think you flick the hold swict on and off. and then hold down menu and the middle button til the apple logo appears. Or plug in into the pooter and sync it, or something like that

There is a way to reset iPods that works for pretty much all iPod problems.

Menu button and middle button often works. Also lock and unlock. Make sure it's charged, too, can the 'puter see it?

mine died after i shoved it in my bra when running and it was either shaken or got a bit too damp. it came back to life after a couple of weeks.

DH's died after we left it plugged in to long on pooter.
Left it a day plugged it back in to pooter and all fine (and was able to work independent of said pooter).

It might need resetting.

thanks everyone! Yes it did indeed need re-setting and dh had found this out from the apple website about the time i was asking you for advice...
needless to say he came home and tried it out and it worked, thank heavens!! Don't think i could have coped with him being grumpy about it all evening and beyond.
