DAB radio- bit of help please

I got a Roberts RD78 DAB radio for my birthday last week, and I am a bit disillusioned. I thought the whole point of DAB radio was that a) you got crystal clear signal cos it's digital and b) you got loads of channels, even ones normally out of your reception/FM receiver zone?

I live in North Herts and can't get Capital or Magic or Kiss etc????

I am expecting too much??

It reall does depend on where you are - we lived in London & got loads, moved & hardly got any. Try checking on line what you should be able to receive here

I was disappointed to find that mine doesn't work on my kitchen windowsill because of interference from a metal beam or something?!

Is that right?

I'm not sure ggirl, but I am quite disappointed with mine, it's not as if we live in the back of beyond, Herts for goodness sake, not that far from London!! I'm also finding that the FM signal is often clearer than the digital signal .

Oh well, at least I can plug my MP3 player into it and put that on random!!

That's what I need,a dab radio that I can also plug my ipod into.I've seen some radio alarms like that but don't need an alarm ..any recommendations ?

Mine is a Roberts RD78, got it from John Lewis, it was £99. I specifically chose one that I could plug ipod/mp3 into. I think it has an alarm too. This is it (have never tried to add a link before so hope this works!)
