Hi
Dh (usually pretty computer literate and good for mopping up my IT messes) has nicked/lost the address bar on my computer at home.

Thank god we have google as home page, or I don't know how I'd navigate anywhere but favourites.

Can anyone help me find it? I have tried via view, toolbars, address bar, but although address bar is ticked, there still ain't no address bar...
Thanks in anticipation.

Have you accidentally dragged it to another position and made it very small?
Each toolbar has a thin vertical bar up it's left hand size and you drag this to move it around.

Thanks for tip, will have a search when I get home tonight.

Just tried on mine which is IE6. You can drag it to different places on the top part of the browser. You still see the bit that says "address" wherever you put it, but the bit you type in can be hidden so it's easy to miss.

Brilliant! The toolbar was missing it's thin vertical bar. In tools, I unlocked 'lock the toolbars', the thin bar reappeared and I dragged the address bar back into the land of the living!

Thanks Greyriverside, you're a star.

You're welcome. lock it again after. It's so easy to move them by accident otherwise. I once spent an hour trying to get the desktop taskbar from the side of the screen back to the bottom

Locked!
