Help, I downloaded a new version of Firefox last night and now firefox won't work on my puter

Nope and I downloaded it again and still no joy. It is not being blocked by a fire wall so I'm not sure what the problem is. Damn.

When you say it is not being blocked by a firewall, do you run any extra internet security products/firewalls on the machine?

also what operating system are you running (assuming PC and not Mac), XP or Vista.

Ok so I fixed it by using the time honoured method of switching it off and then on again

Mine updated last night, and was really weird - wouldn't let me update the files until I restarted the computer, then it did it no problem. Weird!

I fiddled around with the proxy setting thingys and that might have made a difference but I'm not sure tbh.

I would have thought that turning if off last night would have solved it - but yeay! well done you.

God it is SO much better than IE, I have loads of work to do and I was dreading having to use IE
