I want to make a list of local resources for local young people (teens, really) and I want it to look like a proper leaflet. I have a colour printer, and WordPad. And Paint, I think.

Um.

It seems I don't have publisher.

Does anyone know another way I could do this?

You could do it all in paint but it could take forever. Do you have Word?

See what other software you have... think this is a bit much to do using WordPad and Paint!

For basic leaflets, I often use PowerPoint. When advanced things are needed, I use Adobe Illustrator.
However, MS Word can do basic leaflets... I used to use MS Word to produce A5 6 page booklets.

Another thought... you could use Web Design Software, lay out the design on screen and then print it.

What do you mean by a 'proper leaflet'. 3-Fold design is not easy to get right. A single side of A4, or A5 is quite easy.

If you are looking for design software, then you could try:
Scribus - open source DTP for Windows, Mac & Linux Tutorial

You could also try:
OpenOffice - this is a suite of programs, Impress is similar to MS Powerpoint and could be used for a basic leaflet.

Another option is to use a service like www.VistaPrint.co.uk who provide on-line design facilities. You would then need to pay them to print it, so won't be a cheap option but their print quality is excellent.

You can download Acrobat here but that might be just the reader.

Go through start-programs-accessories if you've a pc to see what else you've got.

I think I'll use paint - it's just about the only suitable thing I've got.

This computer is completely set up for the internet, and nothing else reallly!

WT - that alas is just the viewer.

If it is a simple one page leaflet/flyer, you could use Web Design Software, such as CoffeeCup

TAF - can you give a better idea of exactly what you want to produce? Is it for instance a single A4 sheet, double sided A4, a folded leaflet (such as tri-fold, which gives 6 pages). Also what sort of quantity are you wanting to print, as if you want more than a handful, it will take some time to print on most home printers.

sORRY HAVE BEEN WORKING

iT'S JUST AN IDEA i HAD IN MY HEAD REALLY, i COULD JUST MAKE IT A SIMPLE LIST, THAT WOULD BE EASIER.
