I need a new printer.

I want an all-in-one that prints photos too (I have a kodak camera if thats relevant??). Preferably one that isn't going to cost the earth in printer cartridges ...

What printer do you have and do you recommend it?

I need to buy it today.

Links would be good

I've got a Kodak 5500, and am very pleased with it in terms of print quality and running price. Got it from PC World online.

Pc Pro magazine recommends Canon Pixma iP2600 for £30 in the March 2008 edition

"..the quality is excellent: photos are sharp and full of detail.."

I have a Brother 3 in 1 that I like. I've had it a couple of years now and it's still going strong.

I selected it because I can network it. It plugs into my wireless router, so we can access it all over the house.

It was well under £100.

We bought a Canon Pixma MP 600R which reads all kind of memory cards, has an excellent scanner, is wireless and print fast and the print quality is excellent.

It is now about GBP 150 but is well worth it.

Well... needed anew printer in December and went out and bought a HP 4180 (Dont do it!!!) instaled it to laptop, printed OK ish (very slow) but then it all went wrong, kept re-installing itself, printing test pages etc etc. Now know of about 4 other printers (same spec) which also had problems. Took t back to a well known shop which I wont name, but which I probably shouldnt have gone to! and ranted and raved about it, they exchanged it after testing for a HP 4280 which is great. An all in one, printer, scanner, copier etc also has a memory card slot and screen to print pics without the need for computer. Think it was about £60. Not saying its the best printer, but 100% better than the first version!

HP PSC 1215 - from PC World. Fab printer, never had any problems, easy to use.

This is great as I am also looking to buy an all in one printer thingy. One thing I can't work out from the review is whether the Canon ip2600 has a scanner and photocopier included. Am I being really thick or should I just assume it does?
