PAYG sim that I can pay by cash?

I am looking for a sim that I can top up with vouchers/cash. Please could someone recommend one, if possible one that won't want my life history to register it?

So you want a burner phone basically?

Most can be topped up in convenience stores etc but I think most require some information - not wanting to give information sounds suspicious

You can request a top up card with Asda, and pay cash in store. Probably could with Tesco.

You can buy top-up vouchers with cash for Giffgaff.

I have a payg phone on Tesco mobile. Rarely top it up to be honest I just use free Wi-Fi generally

I just use a card to top up when I need to which came with the sim. It is very easy. Came from Tesco mobile in store they did not ask for my life history either

I suppose I do. I used to have the old phones that didn't need my life history and could top up with a shop receipt purchase.

I am not intending to do anything illegal, just want something simple without being tied to a contract.

I expect to have to put some details in but have already tried one and it is not letting me past adding a credit card.

You can buy top-up vouchers with cash for Giffgaff.

Thank you. Does it require a lot of info to register?
I have a new phone and I am heartily sick of setting it up, it is a complete and utter pain, far too complicated. Just when I think I have done it something else pops up and I don't even have a phone no. on it yet. I have a contract to transfer but for now I want a pain free PAYG.

What is wrong with that?

Escaping DV for example!

Go in a shop, but a SIM card and a top up voucher and you're all set. No registration needed

Sorry about the delay but I had gone to bed. As far as I can remember, you have to set up an account online with your name and address so they can post the SIM an an email address for communicating. Have a look at giffgaff.com

You can walk in to Tesco, buy a phone and buy credit without giving your life story. You can top it up in store using cash.

I have 2 phones with 2 sim card slots in each. There are plenty of occasions I want to use a 'burner sim" number 😂
My latest was this one:
EE SIM Card UK PREPAID PAYG £10... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MYZRW5Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

Simply topup by buying a voucher at a paypoint shop and phoning 150 with the voucher code.
