Geeky stuff

We have a new wireless router. Can we use it to connect wirelessly to the big PC and still use an ethernet cable to link up the Laptop?

That is it really. Is it possible. If so DH and I might actually not ever have to speak to each other again .
TIA

Why would you want to use a cable for the lap-top, why not connect wirelessly with both?

connect them both wirelessly
you need to plug inot one of them to set it up but then you can be unplugged anf both be wireless
